Crowdfunding for Social Ventures

Social ventures, as well as traditional charities, are increasingly interested in crowdfunding as a fundraising tool. Is it worth the time and effort? How easy is it to use? What are the regulatory issues to consider?

To answer these questions The Young Foundation, Mishcon de Reya, and the Thomson Reuters Foundation invite you to the launch of Crowdfunding Guide for Social Ventures at 18h on 7 September in London.

Rachel Smith from GlobalGiving will share top tips on how to make your campaign successful, a panel of legal experts will explore the regulatory issues of crowdfunding and Hermione Taylor will explain how she raised £150,000 for her social enterprise through crowdfunding.

To top it off, three early stage social entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas to the audience and the winner will receive 100% of the registration fees collected.
