Student-driven social innovation conference a hit!

INDEX: was honored to be invited to speak at the first ever student-driven Dansic conference, Dansic12 on March 8th in Copenhagen. The conference focused on promoting social innovation in Denmark, and had invited business- and university students, social entrepreneurs and the two keynote speakers Morten Østergaard, the Minister of Science, Innovation and Higher Education, and Hans Wahl who is the Executive Director of INSEAD, the Social Entrepreneurship Initiative.

With a program packed with exciting social innovators eager to inspire, the conference kicked off with the keynote speech by Hans Wall and an expert panel debate about why social innovation is important in Denmark after which the students were invited to ask related questions to the panel.

One of the highlights of the day came with the Pitch@Dansic competition finale where three young social entrepreneurs (the competition's top-3 finalists) presented their socially innovative ideas in front of all the Dansic12 attendees and a panel of expert judges including former INDEX: Head of Strategy Lars Jannick Johansen, who is now the founder and CEO of The Social Captial Fund.
