The social economy network aims to enable social economy organisations, including voluntary organisations, charities, co-operatives and other social enterprises to apply a social innovation mindset to the development of their activities, to build capacity among social economy enterprises to implement social innovations faster and to create partnerships with public authorities to facilitate such social innovations.

Aleksandra Kowalska is co-ordinating the network Social Economy on behalf of AEIDL.
Aleksandra works as an independent expert for AEIDL – facilitating transnational cooperation between Member States in order to help them achieve their social objectives, as well as facilitating social economy network in the Social Innovation Community project.
Aleksandra previously worked for three years as a specialist in the Polish Ministry of Economic Development, dealing mainly with coordination of the European Learning Networks within the area of good governance and social entrepreneurship and also designing the scheme for social innovations implementation within European Social Fund.
Aleksandra has two master degrees in European studies and Communication for Development from Malmo University in Sweden.
