One hundred people from across Europe gathered for two days in Copenhagen and Malmö to discuss social innovation and social entrepreneurship. The network of civil society together with Euclid including Meeting the Social Innovation and Social Innovation Europe organizing a conference to look at the whole life cycle of social innovation.
The conference raised questions such as how do we find funding for social innovation, how do policy, market leadership and how it works across sectors.
The conference opened in Copenhagen on Monday including a background on the development of social innovation from academic concept to a tool used in an increasing number of policy areas. The afternoon was used to focus on the financing and ended with a hearing at which officials from the EU, Denmark, Copenhagen and Malmö questioned about their work with social innovation and what they focus on the future.
