Welcome to the SIC website! We hope you have fun using the site. In the spirit of simplicity we have kept the Terms of Service as simple as possible.

This website was created and is managed by SIX, the Social Innovation Exchange on behalf of the partners of the SIC project.

SIC is a Horizon 2020 Programme funded project, and run by a consortium of 12 leading organisations across Europe. SIC will run from February 2016- 2019.

Legal Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 (thirteen) years of age to use SIC. If you or your parent or guardian has any concerns, please click here to contact us.

Restrictions on Use
You agree not to do any of the following while using the SIC website:

· harass, stalk or otherwise abuse another user

· transmit or otherwise make available any content that is false, harmful, threatening, abusive, tortious, defamatory, libelous, disparaging, vulgar, obscene, pornographic or that promotes violence, racial hatred, terrorism or illegal acts, or is otherwise objectionable (as determined by the Young Foundation in its sole discretion)

· transmit or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful or infringes, violates or misappropriates any patent, trademark, trade identity right, trade secret, publicity right, privacy right, copyright or any other intellectual property or any other rights of any third party

· transmit or otherwise make available through the SIX website any personal advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes or offer for sale of any products or services, except in areas specifically designated for such purposes
 

Newsletter Privacy policy and how we handle your data 

As part of the registration process for our regular e-newsletter, we only collect your name and email address, organisation and country. We collect organisation and country as it enables us to deliver a better service to you, depending on where you live and the sector you work in. SIC's aim is help deepen the knowledge and capacity of social innovation networks to act and grow, and to  support public decision-makers and other stakeholders to work with social innovators more effectively in solving public challenges. In order to meet this aim, and in order to provide you with the best service that is relevant to your country or sector, it is important we collect this information from you. Telling us your country and organisation is not compulsory when you sign up to the newsletter. 

The details that you submit will not be stored within this website’s own database or in any of our internal computer systems. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. We use MailChimp to deliver our newsletter.  We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.

Jurisdiction
Any dispute between You and Us regarding these Terms shall be resolved under the Law of England and Wales regardless of where You reside or view the SIX website. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to resolve any dispute.

Effective Date
These Terms are effective from February 28, 2016.
