The Social Innovation Community (SIC) was a project to connect social innovators across Europe. After three exciting years of research, experimentation, learning, policy and connecting networks across Europe, the Social Innovation Community (SIC) project comes to an end. Now, the project ended, this website will no longer be updated. However, you will still be able to browse all the excellent resources and knowledge.
We are honoured to share with you some of the highlights of the project, as well as ways to stay connected!
Connecting Europe: creating a community of connected social innovators
People are at the very heart of the Social Innovation Community. Networks have been at the core of both our internal operation, and our external engagement with social innovation actors across Europe. Shannon Downey and Monica Nagore from the Young Foundationreflect on their experience of facilitating the Community-Led Innovation and Intermediaries networks.
SIC has partnered with organisations in Croatia, Estonia, Italy and Norway to experiment with new solutions to tackle city challenges. Learn more about our process and what we learnt here.
Over 350 representatives from over 19 EU countries have played a role in co-producing a vision and 10 policy ideas. Read here how to take it forward in 2019.
We have been exploring the hot topics for researchers and setting out a roadmap for the future of social innovation research. Find them on our research portal.
SIC has hosted 5 Summer Schools across Europe. More than 100 people participated to co-create solutions to city challenges. Want to know more? Watch this video.
