What happened at the SIC launch event

Social Innovation Community (SIC) was publicly launched with an event on 26-27 September in Brussels.

The Launch event marked an important opportunity to raise awareness of the SIC project, and to start working towards its goals. This two-day event was a celebration of social innovation across Europe, and of the EU funded social innovation projects, which are already underway. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the activities of the SIC project and how to get involved. We presented a framework for a common understanding of social innovation, including past trends, the latest evidence and emerging methodologies in order to identify future priority areas. This provided the foundation for future activities. Participants were introduced to leading social innovation projects, high-level policymakers and funders.

Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of SIC, and establish new connections and collaborations!

On the afternoon of the first day, each of the SIC networks organised a session for its network. You can find a short description of each of the sessions here
