The European Network for Rural Development is organising a seminar about “revitalising rural areas through business innovation” on the 30th March 2017 in the Hotel Metropole in Brussels.
The seminar follows on from the Cork 2.0 Declaration for “a better life in rural areas”. It will show how rural businesses – both farm and non- farm – can innovate in ways that “create the conditions for future prosperity and vitality”:
* Participants will examine a range of key EU policies and tools for business innovation – through a rural lens (policies for digitisation, smart specialisation, social innovation)
* The event will showcase inspiring examples of rural business innovation and explore how such initiatives can be extended in practice through the Rural Development Programmes.
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, French and German in the plenary sessions.
